Meet Ashley

Healthcare is what I know.
Operations is what
I do.

Yes, Instagram Changed My Life

Here’s my story: I started out as a brand-new nurse at just 20 years old. After 10 years in nursing and two kids later, I decided to dive back into my education. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Community, Family & Addiction Services, with the intention of pursuing a master’s degree and becoming a therapist. I graduated in my 30s with another baby on the way.

And then life happened.

  • A divorce.

  • A remarriage.

  • A blended family of 7 kids.

  • And a whole lot of deep personal work.

  • Somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted something different….

My kids were busy. I was still working in nursing when my last baby was born, and I scraped by on four weeks of maternity leave. I wanted more freedom. More flexibility. And most importantly, I wanted ownership over my time. I wanted to be present for my family without constantly having to choose between being there for them and showing up for work.

That realization started my journey into entrepreneurship.

One day, while taking a break between patient calls, I saw an ad on Instagram.

I purchased a Virtual Assistant course, and that decision opened the door to an entirely new career.

I started out supporting mental health, occupational, and speech therapists. Over time, I worked with a variety of healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs, helping with the behind-the-scenes pieces that kept their businesses running.

And the more I worked with healthcare entrepreneurs, the more I started noticing something.

I kept seeing incredibly talented healthcare entrepreneurs building businesses they were passionate about..

They had the vision, the expertise, the clients, the ideas for growth…

But the business still depended on them for everything.

And I understood why.

Because I had spent years working in healthcare, I knew what it felt like to be responsible for so much. And now, as an entrepreneur myself, I understood how easy it is to build a business that slowly becomes another job.

I Started Seeing the Gap

Healthcare Entrepreneurs didn’t need someone to simply check off tasks. They needed someone who:

Could look at the bigger picture.

Understood healthcare.

Understood the operational side.

Could help create the structure that gives back something they can't get more of:

Capacity.

And That's Where the Two Sides of My Experience Came Together

It all started to click

  • I had the healthcare experience.

  • I had the entrepreneurial experience.

  • And I had learned the operational side of what it takes to create structure, systems, and support behind a growing business.

That's where From Scrubs to Systems was born.

From caring for patients → to helping the people who care for them build the systems and support behind their businesses.

Because, I don't believe you built your business so you could create yourself another job.

I believe your business should have the structure and support it needs to grow without everything depending on you.

Systems create‍ capacity.‍ ‍Capacity creates choice.

And that's what From Scrubs to Systems is here to help you build.
